Practical Chinese Course Closing Ceremony

On the evening of July 26, the first session of the Health and Wellness Tourism Talent Training Program of GLTU & LCB Brunei-China International Tourism Talent Training Center sponsored by the International Exchange and Cooperation Department was successfully completed. In the second half of the last session of the first session, Chen Bangyu, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, relevant teachers, and all students participated in the online concluding session.

In this meeting, the teacher representative Jiang Yanyan to teaching methods will be a song "friendship forever" to every student. The students also expressed their gratitude to the Guilin Tourism University (GLTU) for carrying out the Chinese language training program. One student said, "Thank you very much for this opportunity to let me participate in the Chinese class, the class is lively and interesting, and I learned a lot of useful knowledge"; another student said, "Chinese lessons are very meaningful for us, for my future career and personal development have help. We have many Chinese cultures, in the classroom to open our horizons.


Finally, Chen Bangyu, director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, pointed out in his speech that the GLTU & LCB Brunei-China International Tourism Talent Training Center is jointly established by Guilin Tourism University (GLTU) and Laksamana College of Business (LCB), and has been committed to establishing a cooperative and shared platform for the cultural exchange of tourism talents between China and Brunei. On behalf of the school, he thanked all teachers and students for their active participation. He hoped that through this Health and Wellness Tourism Talent Training Program, more Brunei friends would like to learn the Chinese language and Chinese culture, and welcome Brunei friends visiting Guilin Tourism University.

The first session of the Health and Wellness Tourism Talent Training Program was launched in mid-May and lasted for nearly two and a half months. It was open to Brunei students during the evenings and weekends. The training provided 90 class hours of Chinese language training courses and invited teachers to carry out six online academic lectures on topics such as the charm of the Chinese language, Guangxi tourism, Chinese food, and China-ASEAN tourism. More than 500 students, including university students, doctors, nurses, and people from the tourism industry, participated in online Chinese courses and academic lectures. Supported by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, Ministry of Education, China, the program will continue to promote the Chinese language and spread Chinese culture in Brunei and ASEAN countries on the basis of GLTU & LCB Brunei-China International Tourism Talent Training Center.
